LOVELL, JOHN
DEATH OF JOHN LOVELL.  Among the deaths consequent on the flu, one of the most 
regrettable is that of John Lovell, assistant jailer at Lihue, who died last week 
after making a brave fight for life. He was an uncommonly fine specimen of Hawaiian,

generously endowed with those attractive qualities that win favor and make friends
on 
all sides. In addition to a very pleasing personality, he had a good deal of the 
rustle and character of a successful businessman. He was a young man of much
promise. 
We can ill afford to lose him.
