THE DEATH OF L. J. MUNDON. After a brief immediate illness of only a few days, Lawrence J. Mundon died at his home at Kapaa in the early hours of Monday morning and was buried from the Kapaa church that same afternoon, Revs. Kaauwai and Puike officiating. Lawrence Mundon was a Hawaiian of uncommon intelligence and ability, with all the kindly graces and charm of the Hawaiian, fortified by some of the endowments of the white race, making a very happy combination. He was a most faithful and loyal supporter of every good cause and a leader in church, Sunday School, Christian Endeavor, and other Christian and philanthropic work. He will be very much missed in that community where he has spent most of his life. He was 37 years old. He leaves a widow and six children to mourn his premature death. To them, the Garden Island tenders its sympathy and regret.
