Among the victims of the flu epidemic at Lihue was Peter Naluai, chief entry clerk of the Honolulu custom house. His wife, who was holding down a homestead on Kauai, was taken sick, and he came over to see her through. He himself contracted the disease, was taken to the hospital, and died there last Tuesday. He was a valued servant of the customs department.
