SCHUMACHER, FRIEDRICH
FRIEDRICH SCHUMACHER DIES OF HEART FAILURE.  Friedrich Schumacher, for many years 
a resident of Lihue, died at his home Sunday morning of heart failure. He was 54 
years old. He was born May 5, 1868, in Jacoby Drebber, Hanover, Germany, and was 
married February 8, 1891, to Wilhelmina Braun. Mr. Schumacher is survived by seven 
sons and two daughters. All are living on Kauai with the exception of Herman who 
lives on Maui, and George, living in Berkeley, California. His wife died two years 
ago, following a somewhat extended illness and operation. Mr. Schumacher has been 
a luna on the Lihue plantation for 39 years and was a faithful and respected 
workman, and his loss will be keenly felt by his family and many friends on Kauai. 
Funeral services were held yesterday afternoon at 5 o'clock, Rev. J. M. Lydgate 
officiating. Interment took place at the German cemetery.
