Word has been received by Judge L. A. Dickey of the Fifth Circuit Court from the Bishop Trust Company of Honolulu that Walter Scott of Kilauea died in Manila on March 16th, 1918. The young man was a son of a former manager of Kilauea, also dead, and was last employed in and around Lihue, having been with the Nawiliwili Garage for some time, and he also served in the local company of the National Guard. Leaving for Honolulu, he was lost track of for some time, but it seems he left for Manilla some time last year on the S. S. "Keauhou" when that vessel was sold to parties there and left in company with the "Noeau." He shipped as a fireman under Jimmy Delaney, the well-known engineer who was formerly in the "W. G. Hall." Jimmy returned last month from Manila and brought the sad news back with him. Two sisters, both minors, are left to mourn his early death.
