N. Tsuchiya, the Christian Japanese school principal, was claimed by influenza in the Armory on Sunday night. He had been in the Islands for the past 14 years, the most of that time being spent in educational work. The past 5 years he has been at the head of the Huleia school. Tsuchiya embraced the Christian faith under the preaching of Rev. Kanamora, subsequently his whole family being baptized in the same. The funeral services were held in the Huleia schoolhouse by Rev. Okomoto, assisted by Mr. Kimide and Bayless. Tsuchiya was 43 years of age and leaves a wife and four children.
