Wong Aloian died at Kapaa on the 6th of August and was buried the next day, the funeral services being very largely attended by people of all races and classes. Wong Aloian was an old timer of long residence on the island, extending over 50 years. He was for some years a rice planter at Anahola and then afterwards a store keeper and general businessman of Kapaa. He leaves two part-Hawaiian daughters, married and living elsewhere, and a large Chinese family, some of them grown up and some of them still children. One of them, Wong Feart, is a prominent rice planter and businessman of Kapaa. Aloian, as he was generally known, was a man of a good deal of business ability and one who commanded the respect of the community.
