Duvauchelle LIHUE, Kauai, March 6 - Lighted tapers and bouquets of white anthuriums and calla lilies graced the altar of the Koloa Union Church on February 20 when Miss Josephine Abaya Cortezan became the bride of Raymond Pihaleo Duvauchelle. The double ring ceremony was performed by the Reverend Lawrence Zdvoracek. The bride is the daughter of the Reverend and Mrs. Catalino Cortezan of Koloa and he is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond K. Duvauchelle, also of Koloa. THE BRIDE'S GOWN was of tulle over taffeta faille. It featured a fitted dropped waist bodice with long pointed sleeves and scoop neckline. A lace cap detailed with pearls held the bride's waist-length veil of pure silk illusion. For something old, the bride wore an antique Filipino hand-wrought pure gold necklace which belonged to her grandmother, Mrs. Retrona Abaya. Mrs. Jose Bulatao was matron of honor, and Mrs. Daniel Wong, Mrs. Rudy Pacarro, sister of the bride from Honolulu, and Miss Winona Duvauchelle, sister of the bridegroom, were bridesmaids. Linares Reynaldo and Priscilla Basconcillo were flower girls. James Douglas Gardner was best man and guests were seated by Jose Bulatao, George Telles Oelhoffen and Robert Cortezan.
