Orr jessicanorr@gmail.com February 27, 2014, 7:39 pm The Honolulu Advertiser, Sunday, June 9, 1935 Anna Jottmann, Herbert Kiesel Wed Saurday Miss Anna Jottmann became the bride of Herbert H. Kiesel at Lihue Lutheran church at 7:30 Saturday night. The Rev. Mr. Arthur Hoermann read the marriage lines and the bride was given in marriage by her brother, George Jottmann. Mrs. Henry Wedemeyer sang "Oh Promise Me" and "I Love You Truly" before the ceremnoy. White lilies, gardenias and massed palms were used as church decorations, making an effective setting for the ceremony. The bride wore a princess model of white satin, made with a high cowl neck with tiny buttons down the back to the waistline, long close fitting sleeves and a long train. Her veil was of tulle and she carried a bouquet of white orchids and lilies-of-the-valley. Mrs. Doris De Camp was her sister's matron of honor and she was gowned in peach figured chiffon and carried a bouqut of butterfly roses and forget-me- nots. The two bridesmaids were gowned in pastel net fashioned with ruffled capes and skirts. They carried bouquets of yellow roses and forget-me-nots. Miss Anna Kiesel wore aquamarine and Miss Eleanor Peterson wore peach. Little Nona Cheatham, the flower girl, was dressed in peach organdie. Douglas C. Thomson was the best man and the ushers were August Jottmann and Theodore Jottmann. Immediately following the ceremony a reception was held at the Lihue Parish house. Mr. and Mrs. Kiesel will make their home at Wailuku, Maui.
