JACOBSEN DIES IN HONOLULU. Jens C. Jacobsen of Waimea, Kauai, died Sunday night at 8:30 o'clock at the Queen's Hospital after an operation for an intestinal disorder of long standing. He was born in Christiania, Norway, 63 years and 3 months ago. Mr. Jacobsen has been employed by the Kekaha Plantation since 1881 and was a steam plow engineer. He went to Honolulu only a few days ago to undergo his operation. Surviving are seven daughters and three sons -- Mrs. C. N. Kreusch, Mrs. W. H. Udell, Mrs. H. Kruse, Mrs. P. Hindermith, the Misses Othelia, Amelia and Bertha Jacobsen, and J. C. Jacobsen Jr., all of this island; Louis Jacobsen, a resident of Kauai, and Severin Jacobsen, absent from the territory on the mainland. Word of the death was telegraphed to Kauai by radio yesterday morning. Funeral services were held in Borthwick's Mortuary chapel at 3 PM. Burial took place at the Nuuanu cemetery.
