FAIRWEATHER, Dentist. Establishing himself in Honolulu in 1902, Dr. N. S. Fairweather has since practiced dentistry in this city with the exception of six years spent in World War service and in practice at San Francisco. Born in San Francisco, April 28, 1874, Dr. Fairweather is the son of Alfred J. and Mary Jane (Chipchase) Fairweather. He received his education in the schools of California and was graduated from the University of California with a D.D.S. degree in 1899. He practiced in San Francisco for a short time and in 1900 went to Mazatlan and Guadalajara, Mexico, where he remained until leaving for Hawaii. During the World War Dr. Fairweather was commissioned a lieutenant, senior grade, in the United States Navy, remaining in the service from 1917 to 1921. He practiced in San Francisco for two years and returned to Honolulu in 1923. Dr. Fairweather is a past master of Lodge le Progres de l’Oceanie, the oldest Masonic lodge west of the Rocky mountains; a past worthy patron of Harmony Chapter, No. 4, Order of the Eastern Star; a Shriner and an Elk. He married Marion E. Hussey in San Francisco March 4, 1911. They have two children, Jane and Gail Fairweather.
