Nellist ARTHUR ANDREW HAUCK, Educator. Since he was graduated from Reed College, Portland, Ore., in 1915, Arthur A. Hauck, president of Oahu College, has devoted himself to educational work. He was principal of the Washington School in Boise, Idaho, for a year, spent a year as educational director of the Industrial Training School at Boise, and then joined the instructing staff at the Moraine Park School in Dayton, O. With the intervention of the World War, Mr. Hauck abandoned educational work and served in the Sanitary Corps at Camp Greenleaf, Ga., and Camp Kearny, Calif. At the close of the war he became employment manager for the Miami Conservancy District in Ohio, an engineering project for flood prevention. He returned to his position at Moraine Park School in the fall of 1919 and in 1921 became associate dean and professor of education in Antioch College, Yellow Springs, O. While there, Mr. Hauck was offered the presidency of Oahu College and has directed the affairs of that institution since 1922. He is a director of the Y.M.C.A. and the Chamber of Commerce, and is a member of the University, Rotary and Outrigger Canoe Clubs. Born in Springfield, Minn., Feb. 10, 1893, Mr. Hauck is the son of John and Ernestine (Rockzein) Hauck. His early education was obtained in the public schools of Minnesota and California. In 1916 he married Gladys R. Hubert of Boise, Idaho, and they have two children, Hubert Howard and Margaret Ernestine Hauck.
