Nellist CHARLES G. HEISER, JR., Trust Company Official. Visiting Honolulu while en route to Australia, Charles G. Heiser, Jr., treasurer of the Trent Trust Co., Ltd., was so impressed with the surroundings and business opportunities of Hawaii that he returned seven years later, in 1910, to make his home here. Coming here from San Francisco, he joined the Trent Trust Co., Ltd., as manager of the stock and bond department and became its representative on the Honolulu Stock and Bond Exchange. A specialist in finance and investment, Mr. Heiser soon became affiliated with the executive departments of the trust company and rose to his present position of treasurer, assistant manager and director of the corporation. In 1920 he was president of the Honolulu Stock and Bond Exchange and was the originator of “TrenTrusTics,” a financial journal published by his firm. In July, 1924, he was elected treasurer and director of the Mutual Building & Loan Society. Before coming to Honolulu, Mr. Heiser was connected with the firm of Shaw & Douglas, San Francisco mining brokers, and was employed from 1908 to 1910 by J. Barth & Co., stock and bond brokers of San Francisco. Born in Chicago, Jan. 29, 1884, Mr. Heiser is the son of Charles G. and Fannie (Kellogg) Heiser. The family moved to California, where Mr. Heiser received his education in the public schools. Mr. Heiser and Margaret Watkins were married at Los Gatos, Calif., Sept. 21, 1909. They have two children, Barbara and Sherwood Heiser. Mr. Heiser is a member of the Commercial, Oahu Country, Rotary, Ad and Outrigger Canoe Clubs, and is a Mason and Shriner. He was president of the Oahu Country Club in 1921.
