Nellist SAMUEL THOMPSON HILL, Engineer. After a wide and varied experience as an engineer, Samuel T. Hill in 1914 became manager of the Oahu Ice & Cold Storage Co., his present position. He is also secretary and director of the Honolulu Dairymen’s Association, Ltd., and the Central Service Station, Ltd. Born at Abbeville, South Carolina, Aug. 24, 1882, the son of John Livingston and Lulah (Riley) Hill, Mr. Hill was educated at Clemson College. He entered the testing department of the Western Electric Co., at Chicago in 1905 and was transferred to New York the following year. In 1908 he went to the Charleston Navy Yard as electrical engineer and served there four years, being sent to Pearl Harbor as master electrician in July, 1912. In 1914 he assumed his present position. Mr. Hill is a Mason and a member of the Oahu County, Rotary, Commercial and Outrigger Canoe Clubs. He married Florence Alice Carpenter, Feb. 19, 1924. He has a daughter, Ruth Carolina Hill, by a former marriage.
