Nellist ALEXANDER D. LARNACH, Lawyer. Alexander D. Larnach, practicing attorney and Honolulu magistrate, came to Hawaii from England in 1889 and worked as a salesman for Theo H. Davies & Co. and W. W. Dimond & Co. until 1904. During this period he accumulated a fund to finance his further education and, in 1904, accompanied by his wife and young son, he went to the mainland and enrolled at Stanford University, from which he received his LL.B. degree in 1907. The following year, in 1908, Mr. Larnach was appointed deputy attorney general, Territory of Hawaii, and the following year he engaged in private practice in Honolulu. He was appointed second district magistrate for the city and county of Honolulu in 1911, an office he still holds. Mr. Larnach is a Mason, Knight of Pythias and a member of Phi Delta Phi fraternity and the Order of Coif at Stanford. He was born May 2, 1872, in England, the son of William and Margaret Blair (Deuchar) Larnach. He obtained his early education in England. In 1895 he married Inez Perry of Honolulu and they have one son, Donald Larnach, a student at Stanford University.
