Nellist DANIEL FREDERICK MCCORRISTON, Department Manager. Beginning at the age of 18 with M. S. Grinbaum & Co., Ltd., a whole-sale dry goods concern and sugar factors, Daniel F. McCorriston has been continuously engaged in the dry goods business and plantation buying since 1900. With the retirement from business of the Grinbaum firm in 1905 he joined Theo. H. Davies & Co., Ltd., and traveled between the islands as a salesman until 1913, when he was made manager of the dry goods department of the Hilo branch. In 1915 he came to Honolulu as assistant manager of the dry goods department, and in April, 1921, was made manager. In March, 1925, he was elected a director of Theo. H. Davies & Co., Ltd. Mr. McCorriston is also a director of N. S. Sachs Dry Goods Co., and is an Elk and a member of the Chamber of Commerce and Outrigger Canoe Clubs. Born in Honolulu, June 8, 1882, he is the son of Daniel and Jane (Johnson) McCorriston. He was educated in the public schools of Honolulu. In 1913 he married Nina Craig of Honolulu and they have three children, Colin, Jean and Patricia McCorriston.
