Nellist CHARLES WASHINGTON WEATHERWAX, Photographer. A resident of Hawaii for 35 years, having arrived in Honolulu in November, 1890, Charles W. Weatherwax was continuously associated with the Williams Studio of Honolulu until February, 1923, when he established himself as a photographer in Hilo. He was born in Port Kent, N.Y., Oct. 16, 1858, the son of Sidney and Marie (Fosbre) Weatherwax and was educated in the public schools of Iowa. Mr. Weatherwax married Agnes May Bookstaver in February, 1890, and they have eight children, Hazel, Walter, Agnes, Wayson, Ollie, Arabia, Hazlett and Ruth. Before coming to Hawaii Mr. Weatherwax followed his profession throughout the Middle West and South.
