WIKEEN, Dentist. Educated at the University of Iowa, from which he was graduated in 1917, Dr. John R. Wikeen engaged in private practise for a year in Alcester, S. D., and in 1918 joined the Dental Corps of the regular U. S. army, was promoted from lieutenant to captain and sent to Camp Sherman, Ohio, and from there to Schofield Barracks, Oahu, in June, 1919. Captain Wikeen remained in the service until December, 1922, when he resigned to establish himself in private practise in Honolulu. Born in Princeton, Minn., on June 1, 1892, Dr. Wikeen is the son of Peter J. and Ella (Dahlein) Wikeen. In 1918 he married Marie K. Van Elsberg of Minneapolis. Dr. Wikeen is a Scottish Rite Mason, an Elk, a member of the Sojourners’ Club, and a member of the territorial Board of Dental Examiners.
