George W. Botsford enlisted in the Union Army at Lansing, Allamakee Co., IA
and was inducted into service at Burlingon, IA, for three years on 15 Jul 1861.
He was assigned to Co. K, 5th Reg., IA Vol. Inf.
William Henry Harrison Botsford was born on the day William Henry Harrison was 
inaugurated as President and so was named after him.  He enlisted in the Union
army under the name of Harrison Botsford at Lansing, 11 Aug 1862 for three years 
of service.  He was inducted at Dubuque 03 Oct 1862 and assigned to Co. B, 27th
Reg., IA Vol. Inf.
