Kaiser Family Holds 10th Annual Reunion At Fairview Church
  La Porte City, Aug 30--The tenth annual reunion of the Kaiser family was 
held Saturday at the Fairview church with 91 descendants of Conrad and Barbara 
Kaiser present.
  The officers for the coming year are :  T. W. Elliott, president; C. E. 
Loveless, vice president;  Mrs George Elliott, secretary and treasurer; Mrs. 
Herbert Johannsen, historian; and Mrs. Effie Calkins, publicity chairman.  All 
are La Porte City residents.
  H. H. Kaiser, 70, of La Porte, was the oldest person present and the 
youngest was Larry Dean Brown, two month old son of Mr and Mrs Everett Brown.  
There were two deaths, four marriages and five births during the last year.
  About 25 present from La Porte City and the following from out of town:  Mr 
and Mr James Hill, Mt. Auburn; Mr and Mrs Lewis Kaiser and family, Garrison; 
Mr and Mrs Philip Kaiser, Sr. Lamont; Mr and Mrs Charon Kaiser and sons, 
Aurora; Mrs Geo. Kaiser, Vinton; Mrs. Alfred Cummings, Keystone; Mrs Helen 
Hanna and family and Mrs Emma Hill, Oelwein; Miss Mildred Loveless, Cedar 
Rapids; Mr and Mrs Everette Sanders and family, Brandon; Mr and Mrs James 
Skiles, Dysart; Verne Skiles and Verne Jr., Atlanta, GA and Ray Skiles, 
Chicago, Illinois.
