Lawrence L. Brown dies at age 69
Mount Auburn--Lawrence L. Brown, 69, retired farmer, was dead on arrival 
Friday at Schoitz Hospital in Waterloo after suffering an apparent heart 
attack.
 He was born Feb. 2, 1909 in Garrison, a son of George Roy and Minnie Kaiser 
Brown.  He married Esther B. Swyers at Tipton on Feb. 16, 1934.
 Surviving are his wife; three sons, Rex A. of La Porte City, Joseph L. of 
Waterloo and John R. of Elsinore, Calif.; six grandchildren; four brothers, 
Ralph R. of LaPorte City, Everett of Brandon, George of Waterloo, and Robert 
of Medford, Ore.; and two sisters, Eleanor Snovel of Stockton, Calif. and 
Florine Childres of Pomfret, Md.
 The funeral will be at 10 A.M. Tuesday at St. Paul's United Methodist Church 
in LaPorte City, with the Rev. Galen E. Peckham officiating.  The body will be 
cremated following the service, with burial later in Westview Cemetery.
  Friends may call at the Johansen-Rossow and Dykeman Funeral Home in LaPorte 
City until 9 P.M. Monday.
