Byous The body of Eugene A. Byous, who died early this morning at a hospital here, is at Clark funeral home pending the completion of service arrangements. Mr. Byous, 67, was widely known for his interest in flowers. He lived at 2215 Center Drive and there his large garden of chrysantheums, pansies, iris and roses was admired by motorists along Sparta road, just south of the Spring Garden School. After 43 years of service, Mr.Byous retired two years ago from Swift & Co., where he had been a receiving clerk. Lately he had served as manager of the downtown Bennett Garden Center. He suffered a stroke May 5 at work. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Bernice M. Byous; a daughter, Miss Virginia Lee Byous, who is with the social security administration in Kansas City, a foster son, Robert E. Roth, of the home, and three sisters, Mrs. Irene Coots, Mount Auburn, Iowa; Mrs. Muriel Goodwin, Dysart, Iowa, and Mrs. Helen Sterner, Vinton, Iowa.
