Lorna J. (Tilson) Kuhn(1940 - 2009)
WALKER - Lorna J. (Tilson) Kuhn, 68, died Tuesday, June 2, 2009 at the Dennis 
& Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha following an extended 
illness. 
A funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, June 5, 2009 at St. Mary's 
Catholic Church in Urbana with Father David Ambrosy as Celebrant,  Interment 
will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Urbana.   The Visitation will 
also be held at the church from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, where a Prayer 
Service led by Sister Mary Hargrafen will begin at 7 p.m.. Phillips Funeral 
Home in Vinton is in charge of arrangements. A memorial fund has been 
established for Hospice of Mercy or St. Mary's Catholic Church in Urbana. 
Lorna was born Sept. 19, 1940 in Vinton to Everett and Leila (Kaiser) Tilson 
and graduated from Washington High School in Vinton in 1958. She married 
Vernon Kuhn on June 23, 1958 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Vinton. 
She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Urbana where she had been a 
member of the Altar & Rosary Society. She also enjoyed membership in the 
Spencer's Grove Club and the Walker 500 Club. She loved traveling, playing 
Bunco, and reading. Her positive attitude endeared her many friends. Lorna 
loved her family and lived her life for her children and grandchildren. 
She is survived by her husband, Vernon of Walker; her children, Don (Laurie) 
Kuhn, Duane (Nancy) Kuhn, and Denise (John) Sherrets, all of Walker, Deanna 
Trumbull of Iowa City, and Darrell Kuhn and Danette (Kurtis) Hromidko, all of 
Walker; thirteen grandchildren; one great granddaughter; and her brother, 
Butch Tilson of Nashua. 
She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, David Kuhn; and her 
brother, Robert Tilson.
