Arizona Republic, Phoenix, AZ  Sept 25, 1962
Clarkdale - Services for Lloyd Everett Appleby, 65, manager of the Cottonwood 
branch of the Northern Arizona Gas Co., will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the 
Clarkdale Community Church.

The Rev. Howard Macklin will officiate.

Mr. Appleby came to Arizona from Waterloo, Iowa, in 1947.  He was a member of 
the Jerome Elks Lodge and the Cottonwood American Legion.  He died Monday in 
Marcus Lawrence Hospital in Clarkdale.

Graveside services will be conducted by the Elks and American Legion at the 
Valley View Cemetery in Clarkdale.

Survivors include his wife Eileen; two sons, George K. of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, 
and Robert L. of San Jose, Calif.; and three grandchildren.

Scott and McMillian funeral Home at Jerome is in charge of arrangements.

I am the oldest grandson of Lloyd Everett Appleby.
