Private family papers-memorial card
Harold J. Augustson, 78, of 949 Fletcher Ave., died Sunday, Feb. 16. of 
natural causess at Covenant Medical Center.

He was born April 1, 1913, in Van Horne, son of Andrew and Bertha Carlson 
Augustson. He married Gertrude Moore on Sept. 4, 1934, in Maquoketa.

Mr. Augustson was employed at Rath Packing Co. for 37 years, retiring in 1971.

Survivors include is wife; two sons, Robert of Littleton, Colo., and Tony of 
Waterloo, a daughter, Nancy Lorsung of Waterloo; 18 grandchildren; 15 great-
grandchildren; and a brother Frank of Waterloo. He was preceded in death by a 
son, Richard; a daughter, Marcella Stevens; and a grandson.

Service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Sunnyside Temple Church with burial in 
Waterloo Memorial Park cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. today at 
O'Keefe & Towne Grarup & Waychoff Funeral Home. Memorial may be directed to 
the family.
