Merlin Holtz
 Dysart--Merlin J. Holtz, 75, Dysart, died Thursday, February 8, 1990, at 
Covenant Medical Center, Waterloo.
  Born November 7, 1914, son of Charles and Ida (Schroeder) Holtz.  Mr. Holtz 
was educated in Dysart and later farmed at Dysart for several years.
  In 1958 Mr. Holtz's health failed and he was forced to retire from farming 
and had been a resident of Sunnycrest Care Center in Dysart for many years.
  Mr. Holtz is survived by one daughter, Bonnie Rae Jones, Cedar Rapids; one 
brother, Glenn Holtz and one sister, Darlene Struve, both of Dysart, four 
granchildren.
  Funeral services will be Saturday, February 10, at 2 p.m. at the Zion 
Lutheral Church, Dysart, with Rev. Michael Burk officiating.  Burial will be 
at Dysart.
  Friends may call after 4 p.m. today, Friday, at Overton Funeral Home, Dysart.
