B. Kenaston died at her home in West Dysart Wednesday morning, Nov. 8 at 1 o'clock. Her death was expected. Last May, Mrs. Kenston was stricken with the disease which terminated fatally. Sarah Jane Pierce was born at Jefferson Grove, Ill., Jane Pierce was born Jeffeson Grove, Ill, January 24, 1845. On August 17, 1865, she was united in marriage to Steven B. Kenaston, at Aregan, Ill. They lived at Rochelle, Ill., until 1879, when they removed to Nebraska, and settled upon a lived there 23 years, when they sold out and removed ro Dysart in September 1902. Mrs. Kenaston was a kind neighbor, a firm friend, a model wife and Christian woman. Besides her husband, deceased leaves three brothers and one sister to mourn her death. The brothers are John Pierce, Cedar Falls, Iowa, Harmon Pierce, Hayes, Kansas and the only sister, Mrs. Matilda A. Johnson, of Dysart. The funeral was held at the home Friday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Hayward, of the M.E. church. Interment in the Dysart cemetery.
