Velma Duggan to Be Bride Dec. 28 of Walter Mayer

    Mr. and Mrs. F. J. Duggan, 817 Grant avenue, announce the 
engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Velma,
to Walter W. Mayer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Anton Mayer, 103
Cortlandt street. The wedding will be solemnized Dec. 28 at
Sacred Heart Catholic church.
    Miss Duggan graduated from Visitation academy, Dubuque.
Mr. Mayer, graduate of Sacred Heart high school, is 
associated with his his father in the Mayer Manufacturing
company.

Velma Duggan to Be Wed Saturday to Walter Mayer

   Miss Velma M. Duggan, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
F. J. Duggan 817 Grant avenue, will become the
bride of Walter W. Mayer, 103 Cortlandt street, at
a service which Rev. Fr. E. J. Doughtery will read
at Sacred Heart Catholic church at 8 a.m. Saturday.
    Miss Duggan will wear a capucino colored crepe
gown with gold accessories. She will carry a bouquet
of Talisman roses and baby breath Miss LaVine Duggan,
who will serve as bridesmaid, will wear a brown crepe
gown and a corsage of sweet peas and roses. Anthony
Mayer, Jr., Chicago, will serve as best man for his
brother.
    Music will be furnished by Sister Lorentina, 
organist.
    Twenty guests, including Mr. Mayer's brother-in-law
and sister. Mr. and Mrs Harold Bronson, Chicago, will
attend the breakfast at Neely's Cupboard after the
ceremony.
    The couple will take a short trip and will be
at home after Jan. 1 at 902 Fifth street west.
    The bride attended Visitation academy, Dubuque,
and graduated from Cedar Falls high school. Mr. Mayer
graduate of Sacred Heart high school, is associated
with his father in the Mayer company.
