	Alex R. Pratt, age 85, of Soldier, died of heart failure at Dunlap 
Care Center in Dunlap on October 6, 1994.  He was born in Boone, Iowa on 
February 1, 1909.  On September 16, 1937 he married Mary Ann Dorothy Poczatek 
in Chicago, IL.  
        He is preceded in death by a grandson and a half sister.
	Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann Dorothy of Soldier, and a 
daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Lester Nordaker of Soldier.  Also 
surviving are three grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, five step 
grandchildren and eight step great grandchildren.
