Rites Pending for W.A. Sloan
  Brandon--Funeral services are pending at the Johannsen-Rossow funeral home 
in La Porte City for Will A. Sloan, 71, former Brandon resident, wo died 
Sunday night at the hospital at Phoenix, Ariz. following surgery.
  He is survived by three sons, Gerald and Clare of Brandon and William of 
Santa Maria, Calif., two daughters, Mrs. Russell (Norma) Shaffer of Torrence, 
Calif, and Mrs. Harold (Shirley) Gates of La Porte City; two sisters, Mrs. 
Olive Kress of Quasqueton and Mrs. Pal Burnell of Kalamazoo, Mich. and 11 
grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one son and one 
granddaughter.

Additional Comments:
There was no date on this obituary.   There is no connection other than it was 
found in my grandmother's box of obituaries.  The year of death is not correct 
but this form would not take it unless I put a date on it.
