Author: Western Publishing Co, Sioux City

James De Land, of the firm of Witt & De Land, proprietors of the Chicago bakery
and restaurant, and dealers in confectionery, tobacco, cigars, etc., was born in
Ohio in 1859; moved to Ill. with his parents in 1860. He moved to Storm Lake in
1877, and engaged in the above business in 1881.
