When coming into Clarksville on Hwy. 188 from the south and approaching the first set of railroad tracks, turn immediately to your right and go four blocks east. The cemetery will come into plain view in front of you as you will be approaching it at the north- west corner which is the only entrance into the cemetery. Old Town Cemetery was started soon after the first settlers arrived in the area with the oldest dates on headstones being Henry Hilton, who died on Sept. 21, 1851, and Charles Lowe, who died on Dec. 2, 1851. In the early 1900's the city council outlawed more burials in Old Town unless it involved family, with the last burial being that of Edna Prey in 1944. There are more burials in
