The first interment was the wife of Michael Rude, whose death occurred in the fall of 1854. Evidently she died outside the township, for her death was not the first recorded. In 1937 the remains of Lieutenant Jens Moe, a Civil War Veteran, were removed to a military cemetery in Wisconsin. Soon other families moved some of their members to Cedar Falls, Iowa. There are but a few stones left. The cemetery is located on the north side of C67 about two and one-half miles east of Oak Hill Cemetery, New Hartford.
