Death was attributed to complications incident to advanced age. Mrs. Rose was born July 6, 1867 in Green county, Wis., the daughter of Garnet (Garret Henry) and Rachel (Rachel Frances Gapen) Minert. She was married to K.D. Rose in Greene, Iowa, on Nov. 27, 1895. They lived in Bristow, Ia., for over 30 years. When Mr. Rose died in 1936, Mrs. Rose moved to Waterloo where she lived with her daughter, Mrs. James H. Brooks, 124 Byrnes Drive. She had moved to Arizona in March of 1956. Mrs. Rose was a memeber of the Central Christian Church in Waterloo, and of the Order of the Eastern Star, Bristow chapter. She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Brooks, Mrs Marie Jones, Cedar Falls, Mrs. L.E. Appleby, Clarkdale, Ariz., and Mrs. Earl C. Pitcher, Flat Rock, Mich.; one brother, Guy Minert, Dumont; four grandchldren and four great- grandchildren. She was preceeded in death by her parents, her husband, three brothers, and one sister. Funeral services are pending at the Greenfield Funeral Home at Hampton. The family requests that no flowers be sent. Friends who wish to contribute to the Memorial Fund of the Central Christian church may do so. Additional Comments: I am a great-grandson of Martha Jane Minert Rose and rember attending her funeral.
