James Howard South                                          Massena

Private, Co. B, 168th Infantry, 42nd Division; born Sept. 28, 1895; entered
service July 16, 1917; sailed for France in November, 1917; battles: Lorraine,
Champagne and Chateau Thierry; killed in action near Sergy, July 26, 1918;
buried near Sergy; son of Mr. and Mrs. Ike South.
