In 1867 with his parents he came to Johnson County, this state. On March 19th 1872 he was united in marriage to Miss Hattie Smith. In the year 1878, he removed to Adair County and later to Cass County, where he resided for the past 17 years. He leaves a wife and 15 living children, 1 child having died in infancy, and 25 grandchildren. Also 6 brothers and 1 sister, who mourn the sudden departure of father and brother. The brothers were present at the funeral and acting as pallbearers. The children are: Mary A. Bolin of Witchita Falls, Texas, Maude M Vinall of Davenport, Iowa, Fred D. of Thermopolis, Wyoming, Nellie B. Cooper, Olive L. Taylor, Laura M. Laltig, Leslie L., Charles B., Harry E., Harvey H., Franklin S., Laurence A., E.C., and Hattie M. all residing in or near Anita. The funeral services were held at the M.E. church Saturday afternoon, coducted by the pastor C.C. Smith and internment took place immediately following, at the Evergreen Cemetery.
