Obituary of L. Dora DeWald of Morley, Cedar County, Iowa -------------------------------------------------------------- Pioneer Press Newspaper, Mechanicsville, IA, November, 5, 1944 DORA DeWALD Obituary of Mrs. L. Dora DeWald Mrs. L. Dora Harrison DeWald was born near Morley, Iowa in the Walnut Grove neighborhood on March 18, 1862 and passed away in Cedar Rapids on November 5, 1944 at the age of 82 years. She was married to George DeWald on November 25, 1883 in Jones County, Iowa. He preceded her in death in 1929, also two children, Winona and Chauncey have passed away. Surviving are two sons, Lawrence DeWald of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Valentine DeWald of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, five grand children and several great grand children. Funeral services are conducting from Horner funeral home in Mechanicsville on Wednesday, November 8, at 1:30 P.M. with Rev Bernard Kemper officiating. Interment was in Rose Hill Cemetery. Mrs. O. A. Byrnes Sang accompanied at the organ by Mrs. J. Paul Thomas. Pall bearers were Bert Eagerty, H. E. Gibeaut, John Carville, R. D.
