From the Mason City (Cerro Gordo, Iowa) Globe-Gazette, April 3, 1939, p. 10, col 7:

Mr. and Mrs. Doty Observe Anniversary

OSAGE-Mr. and Mrs. C. B. Doty observed their fiftieth wedding anniversary
Sunday. They were married at Waverly, April 2, 1889, and lived at Clarksville
until 1909 when they moved to Osage to make their home. Mr. and Mrs. Doty had
five children, two of whom died in infancy at Clarksville and the oldest boy,
Howard, who died here at the age of 19. The other children are Mrs. H. C. Morris
of Osage and Mrs. A. D. Crites of Chatsworth, Illinois.
