Trewin: Receives Promotion in Milwaukee Main Office Former Mason Cityan Appointed Assistant Secretary of Road The appointment of Mrs. Ina C. Trewin, formerly of Mason City, as assistant secretary of the Milwaukee road with headquarters in the Chicago Union station was announced this week, by T. W. Burtness, secretary of the railroad. Mrs. Trewin, who is the widow of a former train service employee, is the first woman ever to hold the position of assistant secretary. She succeeds A. C. Hagensick who is voluntarily retiring after 40 years of rail service. The new executive has been an employe of the Milwaukee road for 18 years, entering the service as a stenographer in the office of the superintendent of the I. and D. division in Mason City. She was tranferred to Chicago in the same capacity and worked for the general superintendent until the office was abolished in 1930. She then took the position of secretary to Mr. Hagensick. In October, 1937, she became secretary to Mr. Burtness, which position she leaves to succeed Mr. Hagensick. Prior to his death, Mrs. Trewin's husband was in train service on the I. and D.
