RITES FOR L. D. BYERS ARE HELD
81 Year Old Garner Man is Interred in Concord Cemetery

GARNER - Services for Lorenzo D. Byers, 81, were held at the Methodist Episcopal
church here Friday afternoon with the pastor, the Rev. V. V. Schuldt, officiating.

Mr. Byers was born Nov. 27, 1858, and died at his home in Garner Wednesday night
following a stroke suffered the preceding week.

The Rev. Mr. Schuldt based his sermon on the text "The Love of God, Which is in
Christ Jesus, Our Lord." Pallbearers were Walter Kennedy, Earl Keat, Dr. J. C.
Morrison, T. R. Riehm, E.W. Viken and Will Kraus.

Burial was made in Concord cemetery.
