Floyd Fann, 40, Omaha, driver of the cab; Mary Poppe, about 43, Omaha, and Raymond (Gus) Fallmer, 28, Mondamin. Fallmer's mother, Mrs. Mattie Fallmer, 58, Mondamin, died shortly after being taken to a Council Bluffs, Iowa, hospital. All were occupants of the cab. Bus passengers, all of whom escaped injury, said the bus was knocked into a guard rail by the impact. The taxicab, belonging to Safeway Cabs, Inc., of Omaha, for which Fann was a driver, was demolished. From the Mason City (Cerro Gordo, Iowa) Globe-Gazette; Monday, April 3, 1939, p. 3, col. 8: Fred Christ, Cresco Carpenter, Is Dead; Funeral Conducted CRESCO - Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Bradley funeral home for Fred Christ, 72, carpenter of Cresco for many years, who died at his home here Thursday night. He was born in Switzerland April 7, 1866. He is survived by three daughters: Mrs. J. P. Gethart of Mason City; Mis Mayme Christ of Clear Lake, and Mrs. Besslie (sic) Culbertson of Cresco. The Rev. A. D. Phelps of the Congregational church officiated at the funeral and burial services at Oak Lawn cemetery, Cresco. Watros, 63, were held Monday at the Bradley funeral home with burial at Oak Lawn cemetery, Cresco, the Rev. T. M. Neilsen, pastor of the Methodist church, officiating. He is survived by a son and a daughter living elsewhere, a sister, Mrs. Ruby Hampton of Cresco and a brother, Dr. Roy Watros of Davenport. From the Mason City (Cerro Gordo, Iowa) Globe-Gazette, Monday, April 3, 1939, p. 8, col. 4: Patrick Murphy, 78, Dies at Livermore; Services on Tuesday LIVERMORE - Patrick Murphy, 78, died at his home here Saturday night. Funeral arrangements have been made for 9 o'clock Tuesday at Sacred Heart church, with the Rev. Maurice J. Costello officiating. Burial will be made at Mount Calvary cemetery here.
