KEEL, 55, DIES AT HOME Superintendent Crystal Lake Ice and Fuel Ill Only Four Days Jesse Richard Keel, 55, superintendent of the Crystal Lake Ice and Fuel company, died at his home, 119 Eighteenth street southeast, at 8 o'clock Thursday morning, following an illness of four days. He had been in poor health for a number of years. Mr. Keel was born April 23, 1883, at Plattsville, Wis. He had resided in Mason City for the past 32 years and had been employed by the Crysal Lake Ice and Fuel company for the past 12 years. Surviving Mr. Keel are his wife, Bessie, one son, Charles, at home, one daughter, Mrs. Ralph Shiffman, Mason City, two step-daughters, Mrs. Lola Spurgeon and Mrs. Helen Christensen, Mason City, and one sister, Mrs. Ed Anderson, Mason City. He was preceded in death by his former wife, Mrs. Maude Keel, in 1908. Funeral services will be held at the Patterson funeral home Saturday afternoon at 3 o'clock, with the Rev. William Galbreth, assistant pastor of the First Methodist church, in charge. Burial will be at Elmwood cemetery.
