MASONER IS DEAD AT 79 Hanlontown Woman Succumbs at 11 A.M. on Easter Morning HANLONTOWN – Mrs. Emma Miller Masoner, 79, died at 11 o’clock Easter morning at the home of her granddaughter, Mrs. Marvin [sic] Stevens, east of Hanlontown. Mrs. Masoner had suffered a broken hip in a fall last autumn, and had been ill since that time. In 1931 she and her husband observed their golden wedding anniversary. Her husband died Dec. 10, 1937. Mrs. Emma Masoner’s Funeral Planned at Fertile Wednesday CLEAR LAKE – Funeral services for Mrs. Emma Grace Masoner, 79, who died at the home of her granddaughter, Mrs. Mervin [sic] Stevens, Sunday morning, will be held at the home at 1 o’clock and at the Church of Christ, Fertile, Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock. The Rev. Carl Schmidt, Stanhope, will conduct the rites and burial will be in Clear Lake cemetery. Ward'’ funeral home is making the arrangements. Mrs. Masoner suffered a broken hip last fall and had been gradually losing strength. She was the widow of John Masoner, who died Dec. 10, 1937.
