Mason City Globe Gazette, Oct. 9, 1951
Sever O. Rusley, 66, died suddenly at his home, 408 2nd N. E. Monday 
afternoon.  He had been a resident of Mason City for the past 28 years, having 
been employed at the Jacob E. Decker and Sons packing plant until his 
retirement 5 years ago.

Mr. Rusley was born Aug. 25, 1885, at Forest City.  He moved from Forest City 
to Mason City.  On Oct. 17, 1908, he was married to Annie Bakken, who preceded 
him in death Oct. 13, 1919.  On May 7, 1932, he was married to Amelia Bakken.

Surviving are his wife, a son, Richard, Eagle Grove, and a daughter, Mrs. 
Raymond Nugent, Mason City; 3 grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Albert 
Drugg, Forest City, and Mrs. Andrew Felland, Joice.  he was preceded in death 
by 3 brothers and a sister.  

Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon, at the Trinity Lutheran 
church with the Rev. Alvin N. Rogness, pastor officiating.  Interment will be 
at the Winnebago Lutheran cemetery south of Lake Mills.  The Major funeral 
home is in charge.
