Jas. Henderson, dealer in real estate, established business in 1871; was born in
Scotland in 1818, came to America in 1848 and settled in Clayton county, Iowa,
and was engaged in farming. In 1868 he removed to Cherokee. He has been twice
elected to the position of county treasurer; has also been a member of the city
council.
