J. Jungers, proprietor of the Marcus Hotel, was born in Belgium in 1832; came to
America in 1853, and settled in Marcus in 1856, and engaged in the hotel
business. He married Annie Pool, of Belgium. They have nine children—John, Lucy,
Josephus, Barbara, Mary, Kate, Frank, Lena and Jennie.
