OBITS: Mrs. Ella Marie Stief, Cherokee County, Iowa =========================================================================== Cherokee County, Iowa obituary - Mrs. Ella Marie Stief Ella Marie Stief, 88, Aurelia Mrs. Ella Marie Stief, 88, rural Aurelia, died Monday at the Stewart Memorial Hospital at Lake City. Funeral services will be Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Alta. Burial will be in the Afton Township Cemetary in Aurelia with Pastor Paul G. Wendling officiating. The Barker Funeral Home of Alta is in charge of arrangements. She was born onPebruaryl5, 1902 to Fritz Stabelfeld and Anna Stemple in Aurelia. She attended rural school in the Aurelia area and on January l7, 1921 married Albert Stief in Sioux City. She was a homemaker and lived on a Century farm. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Alta and the Ladies Aid of the church, Friendship Club in Elk Town- ship, the American Legion Auxilairy and the Farm Bureau. Survivors include two sons, Melvin of Storm Lake and Burdette of Jordan, Minnesota; one daughter Mrs. Fred (Ruby) E. Ellerbusch of Decauter, Neb.; one sister Mrs. Alma Chaplin of Hitchcock, S. D.; seven grandchildren, 21 great- grandchildren, six great-great grandchildren and a special friend of her son Melvin, LaVon- ne Schultze. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, one sister, one grand- son, Craig Ellerbusch and one great-great grandaughter Kayla Selk.
