	 Marie Gilbert, 87, of Larrabee died Thursday, April 15, 1999, in 
Cherokee, Iowa.
	Mrs. Gilbert was born March 5, 1912, in Larrabee, the daughter of 
Raymond and Effie (Glasson) Kent.  She married Owen L. Gilbert of Aug. 5, 
1937, in Sioux City.   He died April 13, 1967.  
	
	Survivors include three daughters and their husbands, Roberta and 
Daniel Emmerson of Salinas, Calif., Sharon and Lowell Bennink of Larrabee and 
Carol and Larry Bowen of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; a son and his wife, Dennis 
Gilbert and Gayle Hartwig of Monona, Iowa; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-
grandchildren; two sisters and their husbands, Muriel and Lindsay Jeanblanc of 
New Braunfels, Texas, and Justine and Leon Bohls of Taylor, Texas; and several 
nieces and nephews.
	She was preceded in death by a grandson, Michael Bowen; a sister, Jean 
Kent; and a brother, Arthur Kent.
