"Death of Anson Hance." New Hampton Tribune, New Hampton, IA, September 28, 
1909. 

"Anson Hance died at Pearl Rock last Monday, Sept. 20, 1909, at the home of 
his brother, W.H. Hance, after a long illness with rheumatism. The funeral was 
held Wednesday at Pearl Rock, internment being made in the Chickasaw cemetery 
where his parents are buried. The sorrowing relatives have the sympathy of 
all."
