"Death of Mrs. L.C. Hance." New Hampton Tribune, February 13, 1892. Hance.

Mrs. L.C. Hance living a mile and three quarters east of Ionia died last 
Thursday of consumption; she had been a sufferer from the disease for several 
years and her death was not unexpected. She leaves a husband and seven 
children to struggle as best they can without her loving care. She was an 
estimable lady and will be sadly missed by a host of friends. The afflicted 
family have the sympathy of all.

Cynthia Lowe was born 15 Oct 1853 in IL and married Loren Charles Hance on 02 
Jul 1869 in Chickasaw Co., IA
